Psychological/Psychoeducational Assessment

Every child is unique and getting a thorough understanding of the individual child’s strengths and weaknesses is a complex process.  A child who appears to be having trouble with learning or behaviour could have challenges in any number of areas including reasoning and problem-solving, learning, attention, executive function, and emotion regulation, among several others.  Dr. John and Dr. Pires have a broad range of experience in clinical and school psychology and conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans and school-based recommendations for children and adolescents who present with issues including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Giftedness
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depression
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities
  • Adjustment Difficulties
  • Self-Esteem
  • Other school related problems
